What does a partner role earn you?

Your fee, your net and your stake. As a partner you build your own office, vertical or business line, as a co-owner. You invoice a fixed fee and hold 30% of the shares. Work out what that earns you below.

How it grows

Three years to build.

You build an office in three steps. Your own billing pays your salary, your team builds your stake: a buyer only pays for an office that runs without you. That’s why in year 2 you let go of billing and go all in on your team.

Year 1

You still bill €180k yourself and hire your first two consultants.

Year 3

In your first year your stake isn’t worth anything yet: without your own billing, your office runs at a loss. In year 2 your team carries the office and your stake grows to €303,000. In year 3 your office runs entirely without you and your stake is worth €747,000, on top of what you earn every month. From year 4 you pay 18% on your dividend instead of 30%, and you earn what’s shown at the top.

How we calculate

A worked example, not a promise.

Your consultants

A consultant costs your office around €8,700 a month: salary, car, desk and tools, and €1,500 for the group. Their commission comes on top.

The first year

Each consultant counts for a full year. A new consultant bills little in their first four to six months, so count on less in your first year.

Your own billing

Your call. It adds to your net income, not your stake. In the growth path you still bill €180k in year 1, then stop in year 2: your team runs it.

Your fee

Your fee grows with your office, from €8,500 to €10,000. Your company uses it to pay your salary, car and costs. Calculated for a single person.

Your dividend

You get 30% of your office’s profit, after 25% corporate tax. On every dividend you pay 30% for the first three years, then 18% with VVPR-bis.

Your stake

30% of five times your team’s profit, not counting your own billing, on a sale to an outside party. If you sell to the group, the valuation is lower.

Not financial advice. This calculator gives an example based on the assumptions above, not financial, tax or legal advice. What you really earn and what your stake is worth depend on your office, your partner agreement and the tax rules at the time. Have your figures checked by your accountant.
